Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using DecimalHero ("the Site"), including our practice games, learning guides, and educational tools, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. These Terms apply to all users of the Site, including students, educators, parents, and visitors. If you do not agree to abide by these Terms, please do not use this service. Your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any future modifications.

Description of Service

DecimalHero provides free, interactive educational tools for mathematics and science practice. Our services are designed to help students learn through gamified practice with instant feedback. Our current services include but are not limited to:

• Practice Games: Count Significant Figures, Round to Significant Figures, Count Decimal Places, Round to Decimal Places, Negative Numbers Practice, Integral Practice (indefinite integrals)
• Learning Guides: Educational content and tutorials covering significant figures, decimal places, negative numbers, and integrals
• Math Tools: Scatter Plot & Linear Regression tool for IB Math IA and other projects
• Gamified Learning: Interactive quizzes with instant feedback, score tracking, streaks, and achievements (stored locally in your browser)
• Question Generators: Infinite practice questions with multiple-choice answers and step-by-step explanations
• Feedback System: Built-in feedback forms to help us improve our tools

All our services are provided free of charge. No account creation or login is required to access any features. Game progress, scores, and streaks are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful, educational purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Site in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, our servers, databases, or any other systems or networks connected to the Site
• Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access the Site, generate excessive traffic, or extract data without our express written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, servers, networks, or services connected to the Site, including by introducing viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Use the Site to transmit spam, unsolicited messages, advertising, or promotional material
• Impersonate or attempt to impersonate DecimalHero, our employees, partners, or any other person or entity
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Site or attempt to derive the source code
• Use the Site to cheat on exams, assignments, or assessments (our tools are for learning and practice, not for academic dishonesty)
• Submit false, misleading, or malicious feedback through our feedback forms
• Attempt to bypass any security measures or access restricted areas of the Site

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your access to the Site and may subject you to legal action.

Intellectual Property Rights

The Site and its original content, features, functionality, question generators, algorithms, user interface designs, and educational materials are and will remain the exclusive property of DecimalHero and its licensors. The Site is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks, trade names, logos, and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of our material, including but not limited to:

• Question generators and algorithms
• Educational content and learning guides
• User interface designs and layouts
• Source code, scripts, or software
• Logos, graphics, and visual elements

Educational Use Exception: You may print or download individual pages for personal, non-commercial educational use, provided you do not remove any copyright or proprietary notices. Any other use requires our prior written consent.

User-Generated Content

Our Site may allow you to submit content, such as through contact forms or feedback mechanisms. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such content on and through the Site.

In no event shall DecimalHero, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Site.

Educational Disclaimer

While we strive to provide accurate educational content and tools, DecimalHero is not a substitute for formal education, professional tutoring, or official academic resources. The tools and information provided are for educational and practice purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole source of learning.

• Practice Tool: Our games are designed for practice and skill-building, not for formal assessment or grading
• Not Academic Authority: We are not an accredited educational institution, and our tools do not constitute official coursework or certification
• Verify Information: Users are encouraged to consult with qualified educators, textbooks, and official academic resources to verify information
• Multiple Sources: We recommend using multiple learning sources and not relying solely on our tools
• Academic Integrity: Our tools should be used to enhance learning, not to cheat on exams or assignments. Using our tools to complete assignments without understanding the material violates academic integrity policies

The WhatsApp icon used in our share features is provided by Vecteezy (vecteezy.com). Use of this asset is subject to Vecteezy's Terms of Service and License Agreement.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Site will cease immediately.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which HVTEQ operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
